At Signature-Loafer (VEDAT ALDEDE — E-ALDEDE), protecting your personal information is a priority. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you keep control over it. It applies to signature-loafer.com and to every order placed through our store.

1. Who We Are

  • Identifiers: first and last name;
  • Contact information: email address, phone number;
  • Shipping and billing information: postal address;
  • Commercial information: order history, order amounts, products viewed or purchased;
  • Payment information: processed securely by our payment providers. We never have access to your full card number;
  • Internet and device activity: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar information collected through cookies and analytics tools;
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address, used for currency, shipping, and fraud prevention.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not collect personal information from children under 16 (see Section 9).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Process, fulfill, and manage your orders;
  • Ship your purchases and provide tracking;
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds;
  • Respond to your customer service requests;
  • Send you marketing emails and SMS, where you have opted in;
  • Measure and improve our website, products, and advertising;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • Comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — cart, checkout, session, security. These cannot be switched off;
  • Analytics — to understand how the site is used and improve it, through Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics 4;
  • Advertising — to measure our campaigns and show you relevant ads on other sites, through Google Ads.

You can manage your preferences at any time through the cookie banner or the cookie settings link in the footer of our site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required by law. Cookies are retained for no longer than 13 months.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients:

  • our e-commerce platform and host: Shopify International Limited;
  • our payment providers: Shopify Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal (where offered);
  • our suppliers and their carriers, limited to what is required to ship your order (name, shipping address, phone number);
  • our analytics and advertising providers, as described in Section 4;
  • professional advisors, and law enforcement or government authorities where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time — see Section 8.

6. International Data Transfers

Our business is located in France, and our partner suppliers are located in China. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those of your state or country. For shipping, only the information strictly necessary (name, shipping address, phone number) is transferred. We use contractual safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable, to protect information transferred internationally.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Order and billing records: up to 10 years, to satisfy the accounting and tax obligations that apply to our business;
  • Customer account information: 3 years after your last purchase or last login;
  • Marketing contacts: 3 years after your last interaction, or until you unsubscribe;
  • Cookies and browsing data: up to 13 months.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have collected about you, and how we use and disclose it;
  • access or obtain a portable copy of your personal information;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising;
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights, including, in some states, the right to appeal a denied request.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@signature-loafer.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We may ask you to verify your identity before responding, and we will reply within 45 days (extendable by a further 45 days where permitted by law, in which case we will notify you). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

EU, EEA, and UK visitors: because we are established in France, you also have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679), including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France — www.cnil.fr.

9. Children's Privacy

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@signature-loafer.com and we will delete it.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including SSL/TLS encryption, restricted access, certified service providers, and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
